Green Day in concert is an unforgettable experience. From the minute Billy Joe takes the mike and tells the crowd to get on their fucking feet, he is the punk rock Peter Pan, adolescent, mischievous, and impossible to refuse. He plays the crowd like a master puppeteer and they come to life at the first tug of the strings.
Audience participation is required. It seems as though a member of the audience is brought up almost every other song. During East Jesus Nowhere Billy Joe offers to save the crowd of sinners with the help of a fresh young child. Having obtained a sutable sacrifice, Billy Joe laughs wickedly, and "...the sirens of decay will infiltrate Nicolas..." and save the crowd.
So, for all of you who've read this , let me make this clear, however good they sound on your stereo they are 100 times better live so go watch the concert.
