Movie of the Week

Sunday August 9, 2009. Me and a matinee showing of Julie & Julia. Good movie. I definitely reccomend watching it it with ... well anyone. It's funny and inspirational. Amy Adams is Julie, a cubicle worker who hates her friends, doesn't exactly love her job, and comes home to find a haven in cooking and a friend in her imaginary Julia Child. After deciding that she needs to do something with her life she decides to cook her way through all 524 recipes in Julia Child's cookbook in 365 days. In the process she learns about the importance of her husband , faith, passion, and butter. On the other side of time Julia Child (played by the ever incredible meryl streep) is an american in paris who loves to eat and is determined to master french cooking and make it a reality for "the servantless american cook"
